It's Week 10 of 23 Things for Professional Development. See our previous post about Nebraska Learns 2.0 joining this new learning program.
This week you will do Thing 14 which looks at tools for managing information.
Thing 14 posits that as librarians we're not just there to help people find information, we can also help them manage it to more easily achieve their goals. This week you will be introduced to three free reference management tools -- Zotero, Mendeley, and CiteULike. Your task is to explore and play with at least one of these tools and then blog about your impressions. How could it help you achieve some of your own goals? How could your new skill help you improve the support you offer your library users? If you're already using one or several of these tools, please share how you're using them.
